Halloween Festivities

Halloween this year was actually really fun. We weren't sure if we would be able to participate that much with Katie, since Ali was a little more than one week old. Chris's mom flew into town to help out, which was a HUGE help! I was feeling well enough to go to our wards "Trunk or Treat" activity, while Grandma was nice enough to stay home with Ali. Katie loved it! Towards the end of last year, Katie figured out the whole asking for candy thing, but this year was even better. She doesn't understand Halloween and dressing up, but the candy concept was no problem. It was a lot of fun to watch her go from car to car and hold up her bucket so proudly. We also carved a pumpkin with her for the first time and made caramel apples with Grandma. Sunday night in our neighborhood was when everyone went "Trick or Treating". We thought Katie would have fun passing out the candy to the other kids, but that wasn't good enough. When the first one came, she immediately ran and got her costume and bucket. She was ready to go! Needless to say, we ended up taking her again on Sunday, but I didn't feel to bad, since we saw many others doing the same. It sure was a fun weekend and between the two nights, we have more than enough candy in the house!

You look great Kristen and that's awesome you were feeling well enough to go and do! Katie of course looks adorable in her costume. She's brave to help carve the pumpkin. Everyone in my house has Aaron's gag reflexes and act completely grossed out. =]
