It's been awhile......

May 2010
I was sick with the flu and a cold for most of it, but I did manage to get my mom's scrapbooking project completed. From August 2009 to May of 2010, I scrapbook 9 years for my mom (2001-2009). It was great to have the work for something to do while being home, but I'm glad to have it done. My sister and I also took a trip to Idaho with our kids to see my parents. We were there for a week and it was really cold, so we didn't get to send the kids outside as much as we thought we could, but it was still fun to be there. I realized that I didn't take any pictures. Lame! Two days after we got back, my parents came down here for Memorial Day to say goodbye to all of us kids who live here before they leave on their mission.

June 2010
June has flown by. Although, I got my moms scrapbook done, I am taking the summer to get mine caught back up. It has been nice working at a slower pace again. I was putting in some crazy hours in May to my moms finished by May, so she could focus on her mission preparations in June. In addition to that, Katie and I go swimming 2-3 times a week to get a break from the 110 degree heat that we have here so often. On top of that, one day a week I babysit my sister's kids while she goes to work at her husband's chiropractic office. It is a win-win for both of us. With all that, plus grocery trips, laundry, cleaning, and Katie, I find my days very busy yet fulfilling. My parents also reported to the MTC on the 28th of June. They were called to the Curitiba Brazil Temple Mission, which is about 5 hours south of where they were on their first mission. We are excited for them, but sad to not see them for another 18 months.

July 2010
My plans for July are to continue going swimming and scrapbooking, but also getting Katie's room finished with decorations. I have a lot of projects that I'm doing myself to save money on decorations. In addition to her room, I have a few more things to change/add to the nursery for our new little girl coming in October. Those are my plans for July. I will once again be busy, but it helps the summer to go by quickly along with this pregnancy at times, so that is nice. I will post pictures of it when it is done. I hope to be done by the end of the month with all of it. We will see.

I will try to be better about keeeping my blog more up-to-date now that my parents are on a mission and it is a great way for them to keep up with our family.
