Project 1

I have been such a slacker when it comes to blogging lately, but I have been busy scrapbooking and doing projects. One project was getting the playroom finished. We bought another shelf to store toys on, and I purchased clear bins that would fit in the cubbies, but were clear so you could see what was in them. That was quite the mission, but I finally found what I wanted. Gotta love Wal-Mart! I also bought another changing pad and strapped it too the shorter shelf. Now I have a changing station upstairs and downstairs, so I don't have to chase stairs or get on the floor. It is paying off already! I made two magnet boards. One for the playroom and the other for my kitchen. The front of my fridge isn't magnetic (retarded), so I needed a place to put stuff. I don't have a picture of that one. The one I did for the playroom will be used for FHE and to hang a picture of the prophet or whatever we learn about for the week in FHE. I bought fabric for a valance over the window and used the rest to cover cork boards so I can hang art on it, etc. that Katie makes us in the times to come. My sister-in-law, Wendy, gave us their Kitchen set that they bought for their daughter. I got it all cleaned up and made a few repairs and it is as good as new. Thanks Wendy! Katie doesn't play with it yet, but I'm sure she will soon enough and have a great time with it. Eventually, we will add a TV and hang it on the wall above the changing pad and that will be it, but that is down the road a little bit. For now, it is finished! I love having a playroom. It has been so nice! Thank you to my sister Laurel for coming over and helping me arrange and hang everything. You are a lifesaver!
