CHRISTMAS

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas Katie had her 2 year birthday and we had a small gathering for that, made gingerbread houses, had girls night out, the boys went to glamis and rode their motorbikes and fourwheelers, went to the temple and had a testimony meeting with my family. I also finished working for my brother-in-law at his office and will be scrapbooking full-time now for my mom and soon my sister Laurel.

Then Chris and I went to Utah for Christmas. It had been three years since we had been there for Christmas, so we made the journey. Katie was a trooper for the most part in the car. The Little Mermaid is now her favorite movie. So we opened gifts before we left, while we were in Utah, and when we came home. Chris bought me a dustbuster that I have wanted for awhile and the movie "17 Again". He also got me some perfume and a new external hardrive that is way more portable than my old one and holds a lot more for all my scrapbooking needs. It really was a nice surprise. He also bought me some new shelves for our office so we could fix the mess we had going on in there. He was such a sweetheart. It really was a surprise. Thanks sweetie! My parents got us an awesome gift. They took all of our home videos from all of us kids growing up and put them on DVD and we all got a copy. What a great gift and it has been a hoot watching them all! They also gave us marshmallow guns. They are awesome! We have yet to try them out, but we will. Google it if you don't know what they are. My sister and her husband gave us an awesome 72 hour kit. Thanks guys! Katie got a tu-tu and her new bed set that she will be moving into in about 6 months or so. Grandma and Grandpa Housley gave her a Mr. Potato head, which at the time she didn't care about, but now she loves it! A lot of new books, and outfit and an awesome church bag with lots of new fun things to try out at church. Thanks mom! She gave Chris and I an awesome Family history book of her side of the family and our genealogy. I can only imagine the hours that took to put together. It really is a neat book. It will be fun to add too it. They also gave us some money that we used towards our house, some lifesavers, socks, etc. It was a great Christmas.

As far as our trip up there we had a great time! We went to see the lights at Willard Bay and Katie loved it! Pretty good show for a small place. And the best part is you just drive it in your car so you don't have to get cold. I was SOLD! We went sledding a couple times and she loved it! Katie is a pretty fearless kid for a girl and its nice. She has her emotional breakdowns, but overall she is always willing to try new things. We spent lots of time in the tub as well. She loves the tub and will spend 30 minutes to an hour in the tub no problem. It was cold there so her hair didn't dry out as fast, so I introduced her to my blow dryer. Oh boy. I wonder where she learned to primp? Hmm...

We also visted some old friends and good ol' Logan where we met. It wouldn't be complete with going there once. Katie fell in love with her boots and wanted to wear them everywhere the first couple of days she got them. It was all we could do to get them off. Those were the highlights! Thanks mom and dad for all of the fun and good food!

More sledding

Hiking up the hill.

We decided to go somewhere with a hill that would have more momentum than the back yard. It worked a lot better. Another video for you has been included. Katie looks like she didn't enjoy it, but she did. She even hiked up the hill without falling. We were impressed! Katie says "uh-dye" for again.

The remainder of our Christmas gifts that we opened when we got home from Utah.

So cute! Glad Katie liked the snow. Ky just liked to look at it. He refused to put on gloves so that pretty much put a stop to doing anything. We couldn't keep him warm!
