Rum Story
Well, I had a few requests for the rum story so here it is. I will try to keep it short. When Chris and I first met and in our first year of marriage we worked for the same company together called Icon Health & Fitness. They manufacture all treadmills and just about any other fitness equipment. We did customer service, so we diagnosed what was wrong with peoples machines when they would call in. We would send them parts if the needed etc. One day, Chris is talking to a guy who lived in Florida or the Bahamas. Something like that. I can't remember. Anyway, he was one or two days out of his warranty for his treadmill and the parts cost around $500. Chris helped him out and sent all his parts to him for free. The guy was so grateful that he said, "What's your address? I'm going to send you some rum." So, Chris gave him our address. Well, four months went by and nothing. Then one snowy day, Chris and I come home to this box on our doorstep. The return address had Florida on it and we were racking our brains trying to figure out who we knew in Florida that would be sending us a package. Then it clicked. Chris said, I bet it is the rum. We opened up the box and sure enough there were the two bottles of rum the man had promised. We had totally forgot about it and just started laughing. We have had the rum ever since then on a shelf in our office. We kept it because it reminded us of when we met, were first married, and the fact we both worked at the CON as we called it. We always said that we would get rid of it when our kids were getting to an age when they could understand what things were. Well, we got rid of it when we moved. It was more because we didn't want to pack it, but I suppose it was time to move on. It was a fun memory to have in our house for 3 years or more. Most people knew about it because it was in our office and you didn't see it. But I have pictures of the story and the event, so we still have the proof. We had a bottle of traditional rum and mango rum. And let me just say, liquor stinks and it is so strong. I don't know how people drink that stuff. Well, the mango stuff smelled pretty good, but I'm sure it would burn if you were to drink it, but the traditional stuff smelled horrible. I was gagging while dumping it down the sink. Anyway, hope you all enjoyed the story.

Nice! Hey we are headed out that way Saturday and want to see your new place. Will you be around? We didn't get to say goodbye and I feel bad we weren't able to help you move. Anyway, let me know. I will give you a call or call me if you think about it first.
